Dedicated Java server migration to the cloud (Jelastic)
Migration of a Java/Tomcat corporate website from a dedicated server to the Jelastic cloud platform, followed by ongoing maintenance of content, design and features: four projects rated by the same client.
The challenge
The site ran on an expensive, fragile dedicated server with no redundancy, and the company had no Java developer to maintain the application.
The objective
Migrate the Java application without a rewrite to a scalable cloud environment and take over site maintenance.
The solution
Survey of the environment (Tomcat, database and dependencies), migration to Jelastic with a test environment and controlled cutover, then ongoing support with feature, content and design adjustments in Java, HTML, CSS and AJAX.
